This is a beautiful micro hexagon shaped tattoo in color made for a cute couple.

Boy and girl met at a skiing lift, bonded through the love of snowy mountains and skiing. At the time of tattooing, the couple just got married and the tattoo was a marriage gift for themselves. They wanted to take this experience and convert it into lifelong tattoos.

The original requirement was to incorporate hexagon shapes and ski elements. The first hexagon is a depiction of the ski lift where they met but in different angles from each other. The middle hexagon is the mountain they skied on. The request was for the mountains to be abstract “but not too abstract” and also the same mountain, but different. The last hexagon is focused on the individual. One wanted backpacking imagery and the other chose skiing in motion.

The color was adjusted to fit the skin as one had darker skin than the other.

It is common for “couple tattoos” to match or contain elements directed at the significant other. In this case, the tattoo can be a “couples tattoo” or an individual tattoo (god forbid they break up later) as it has elements of both shared love and individual preferences. They can sport the tattoo with each other or rock it individually. It is the same design logic presented in a different way.
