Guest artists welcome

We're excited to invite tattoo artists from around the world to work with us at Patch.

About the studio

Our purpose

Our goal is to connect with talented tattoo artists around the world — to make friends, build relationships, share skills and ideas, and support each other's work.

Promotion

  • If we reach out to you first, we'll promote your visit on our Instagram (@patch_tattoo_therapy) before your arrival and share updates of your work during and after your session.
  • If you reach out to us about guesting, we'll promote your work if it meets our standards for promotion.
  • We recommend tagging the studio account in your stories and posts to help you gain exposure with our audience.
  • During your session, with your permission, we'll take photos and video of you and your work for our Instagram and TikTok. If you have specific requests about photo or video usage, let us know.

Pricing

  • We offer a 70/30 split. You keep 70% of your daily income; the studio takes 30% to cover space, supplies, promotion, and hosting.
  • Maximum studio payment is capped at $500/day. If 30% of your day exceeds $500, you keep the remainder.
  • If you want help adjusting your pricing for the LA market, we're happy to share suggestions.

Bookings

  • Guest artists handle their own bookings and client communication.
  • We recommend collecting a deposit to protect against last-minute cancellations.
  • For sessions over 3 hours, tell clients to bring a snack or meal.
  • Need help filling your schedule? We can share additional Instagram stories to give you exposure.

Hours & equipment

Studio hours
10am to 8pm. Sessions running longer must be scheduled into the next day.
Tattoo beds
4 electronic hydraulic tattoo beds, 1 back tattooing chair, several arm rests. We'll arrange equipment based on your needs.
What you bring
Tattoo machine, power supply, needles/tubes, ink, and any personal tools.
What we provide
Wrapping film, green soap, alcohol/Cavicide, distilled water, ink cups, rinsing cups, Vaseline/glide, basic black ink (dynamic or solid), gloves, disposable aprons, wipes.
Printing
Two Epson inkjet printers — one for color (American letter), one for stencil. We also provide stencil paper for hand stenciling.
Atmosphere
We keep the studio quiet — soft lighting, minimal music — to help artists focus. If you prefer bright light or loud music, bring your own headlight and headphones.

Parking

  • Residential parking on Mecca St (perpendicular to Ventura Blvd) and Clark St (behind the studio). Check street cleaning signs.
  • Metered parking on Ventura Blvd (2-hour limit, then needs recharging).
  • Coffee Bean, Walgreens, Gelson's, and CVS lots have plenty of spots. Their signs say "no parking," but our clients and artists park there regularly without incident.
