BIO

Graduated with a B.A. from the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, Asia’s #1 ranked university and top art program, Jingxi has deep educational & practical experience in a wide range of art fields including sculpture, painting, drawing, applied, and conceptual art. 


At University, Jingxi took a full gap year in Wales, Great Britain to help the disabled with art therapy and spent two months in Ghana, Africa assisting the underprivileged build local communities. 


After graduating with her Bachelor's degree, Jingxi continued to build her design skills as a professional corporate designer for 3 years and worked with one of the top symbolists in the field. Both the practical design experience and application of symbology would later gave Jingxi a unique skill in translating abstract client ideas into "story telling" tattoos with complex meaning.


In 2015, Jingxi decided move away from the very commercial corporate world and into tattooing which provided the creative space needed to grow and excel as a a full-time artist.


Jingxi started off as a tattoo apprenticeship and worked at big tattoo shop then started her own studio, Patch Tattoo Therapy in Shanghai. She has had extensive formal training in tattoo sanitization processes, tattoo machine engineering, and tattoo techniques at several famous tattoo studios.


Before Jingxi left for the US, she was one of the most trusted and sought after tattoo artists in her country.


In 2021, Jingxi took her talents to sunny Los Angeles and is excited to design and create the best tattoos for her clients. Jingxi is a licensed tattoo artist in Los Angeles County.

Hi! My name is Jing. I'm very passionate about my work and am excited to help anyone who wants a high quality tattoo!

I will listen to your ideas and vision then compose them into a beautiful and unique tattoo that fits your body.

The tattoos I design are carefully crafted following sound design principles and I only do tattoos that will still look amazing after many years.

Graduated with a B.A. from the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, Asia’s #1 ranked university & top art program with a < 2% acceptance rate, Jingxi (Portfolio) grew up at the top of her class and achieved the highest level of practical education in a wide range of art fields including sculpture, painting, drawing, glass, applied, and conceptual art. 


At University, Jingxi took a full gap year at Coleg Elidyr Camphill (Wales, Great Britain) to help people with learning disabilities build confidence through art therapy. She also spent two months in Ghana, Africa assisting the underprivileged build local communities. 


Jingxi continued to develop her skills as a professional corporate designer for 3 years in Shanghai, working closely with one of the top symbolists in the field. Both the practical design experience and application of symbology would later gave Jingxi a unique skill in translating abstract client ideas into "story telling" tattoos with complex meaning.


In 2015, Jingxi moved away from the very commercial corporate world and into tattooing which provided the creative space she needed to grow and excel as a a full-time artist.

In late 2016, Jingxi started her own studio, Patch Tattoo Therapy with the goal of providing a very unique client focused tattoo experience never seen before. After a couple years, Jingxi was one of the most trusted and sought after tattoo artists. Clients were flying across the country every week to get tattoos and her clientele spanned six continents globally.


In late April 2021, Jingxi took her talents to sunny Los Angeles and opened a new and improved version of Patch Tattoo Therapy in August 2021. She designed the studio herself, hand picked all materials, and oversaw construction.


The support and demand has been overwhelmingly positive. Jingxi is deeply grateful for all the trust and is excited to design and create the best tattoos for her clients!


Outside of tattooing, Jingxi enjoys studying, spending time with family, traveling, surfing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities. 


Jingxi is a licensed tattoo artist in Los Angeles County and is featured in the Los Angeles Times, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Popsugar, ValiantCEO, Bustle, iNKPPL, StyleCraze, VoyageLA, Glam, etc.
